What is a Bybit referral code?

A Bybit referral code is a free code entered during sign-up that credits your new account to a referrer and makes it eligible for Bybit's new-user welcome rewards. Bybit has two, one per platform: WEB3 for the global site (bybit.com) and MICA for the EU/EEA site (bybit.eu). It cannot be added after registration and does not change your trading fees.

A Bybit referral code is also called an invite code, invitation code, promo code, sign-up code or bonus code — they all mean the same field at registration.

Two codes, because Bybit has two platforms

To comply with the EU's MiCA regulation, Bybit runs a separate European platform (bybit.eu) alongside its global one (bybit.com). Each has its own referral code. Using the wrong one for your region means the code simply won't apply — so match it to where you live.

EEA residents (the EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) sign up on bybit.eu with MICA. Everyone else uses bybit.com with WEB3.

What the referral code gets you

A Bybit referral code — also called an invite code, invitation code, promo code or sign-up bonus code — is pure upside for a new user: it makes you eligible for Bybit's welcome rewards and costs nothing. All those names mean the same field at registration, and the working codes for 2026 are WEB3 (global) and MICA (EU/EEA).

Bybit's welcome rewards

Signing up with a referral code makes your account eligible for Bybit's new-user welcome rewards — bonuses you unlock by completing simple tasks like a first deposit and trade. It costs nothing to enter the code.

Applied at sign-up

The code binds to your account when you register through the link, so there's no coupon to redeem later. Just make sure you use the code for your region — WEB3 (global) or MICA (EU/EEA).

Same account, same rewards

Using our referral link never changes your fees, limits, or the rewards you're entitled to — it only tells Bybit who referred you. You get exactly what any referred user gets.

A full-featured exchange

Behind the code sits one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world: spot, perpetuals, options, copy trading, bots, Earn and a card — all from one account.

What the welcome rewards are actually worth

Bybit's welcome rewards are task-based, region-gated and change by campaign — the table below shows Bybit's published structure, not guaranteed payouts. Rewards are claimed in the Rewards Hub after sign-up and require identity verification (KYC). EU (bybit.eu) campaigns are smaller and spot-focused; the global figures don't apply in the EEA.

Why traders use Bybit

A referral code only matters if the exchange behind it is worth using. Here's what you're signing up to.

Deep liquidity, low fees

Bybit is consistently among the top crypto exchanges by spot and derivatives volume, which means tight spreads and reliable fills on major markets.

Every product in one place

Spot, perpetuals, futures and options, plus copy trading, trading bots, Earn and the Bybit Card — a full trading suite from a single account.

MiCA-regulated in the EU

European users trade on bybit.eu, Bybit's dedicated EU entity operating under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

Proof-of-reserves

Bybit publishes regular proof-of-reserves attestations so users can verify that customer assets are backed on the platform.

Fast, modern platform

A matching engine built for speed and an interface that scales from first-time buyers to advanced derivatives traders.

Operating since 2018

Founded in 2018, Bybit serves tens of millions of users worldwide and is one of the most established names in crypto.

Low fees, transparent tiers

A referral code doesn't lower your fee rate — that's set by Bybit's VIP tiers, by volume or balance. Here's the real derivatives schedule so you know exactly what you'll pay, with or without a code.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Bybit referral code?

It's a code you enter (or that's pre-applied via a link) when you sign up on Bybit, so your account is credited to a referrer and becomes eligible for Bybit's new-user welcome rewards. There are two: WEB3 for the global site (bybit.com) and MICA for the EU/EEA site (bybit.eu).

Which code should I use — WEB3 or MICA?

It depends on where you live. Residents of the EEA (the EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) sign up on Bybit's MiCA-regulated EU platform bybit.eu with code MICA. Everyone else uses the global platform bybit.com with code WEB3. The wrong-region code won't apply.

Why does Bybit have a separate EU platform?

The EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation requires crypto exchanges serving EEA residents to operate under an EU authorisation. Bybit set up a dedicated MiCA-regulated European entity (bybit.eu) for that, separate from its global platform (bybit.com).

Is the referral code free to use?

Yes. A referral code costs nothing and never changes your fees or the rewards you're entitled to — it only tells Bybit who referred you. You receive exactly what any referred new user receives.

Do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?

Yes. Bybit requires identity verification to trade and withdraw on both the global and EU platforms. You complete KYC after registering, before the account is fully usable.

Can I add a referral code after signing up?

No — Bybit binds the referral code at account creation, so it can't be added to an existing account. Use the link for your region when you first sign up.

How much is the Bybit referral bonus?

The welcome rewards are task-based, not a flat payout. Bybit's own published example is about 18 USDT in vouchers for depositing $100 and trading $100. The "up to $30,000" you see advertised is a ceiling that requires roughly a $250,000 deposit and ~$150M in trading volume — not an amount typical users receive. EU (bybit.eu) campaigns are smaller and spot-focused.

Does a Bybit referral code give a fee discount?

No. Despite what many referral sites claim, there is no verified ongoing fee-rate discount attached to a Bybit referral code. Your trading fees are set by Bybit's VIP tiers (volume or balance based). The code's value is the new-user welcome rewards — codes WEB3 and MICA included.

Is a Bybit invitation code or promo code the same as a referral code?

Yes. Bybit invitation code, invite code, promo code, sign-up code and bonus code all refer to the same field at registration. Whatever you call it, enter WEB3 on bybit.com (global) or MICA on bybit.eu (EU/EEA).

Can I use Bybit in the United States?

No. Bybit does not accept US residents on either platform, so no referral code will work from the US. Bybit also ceased UK operations in 2021. Residents of most other countries can sign up on bybit.com — and EEA residents on bybit.eu.

How do I check the referral code was applied?

Sign up through the referral link and the code field is pre-filled — just confirm it shows WEB3 (or MICA on bybit.eu) before you submit. It also works on the Bybit app: open the same link on your phone, or type the code into the "Referral code" field on the app's sign-up screen. After registering, your new-user tasks appear in the Rewards Hub.

Is this site run by Bybit?

No. This is an independent site that shares working Bybit referral codes and explains the program honestly. We may earn a commission if you sign up through our links, at no extra cost to you.

How to use a Bybit referral code

Applying a Bybit referral code is simple, but two things trip people up: choosing the right platform for your region, and understanding what the welcome rewards actually require. Get both right and you'll sign up on the correct Bybit, with the referral credited, and know exactly what to do to unlock a reward.

The Bybit sign-up bonus, explained honestly

Search for a Bybit sign-up bonus and you'll run into headlines promising 'up to $30,000' for new users. That number is real in the narrow sense that it appears in Bybit's marketing — but it is a ceiling, not a payout, and reaching it requires deposits and trading volume far beyond what any normal new user will do. This guide explains what the welcome bonus actually is, what you'd realistically receive, and the fine print that decides whether you get anything at all.

Bybit EU vs global: which one applies to you

If you're trying to sign up for Bybit and you're not sure whether to use bybit.com or bybit.eu — or why there are two referral codes — this is the guide. The split isn't a marketing gimmick; it's a regulatory requirement, and since MiCA's transition window closed on 1 July 2026 it has real teeth: EEA residents can no longer sign up on the global platform at all.

Bybit fees explained: what you actually pay

Bybit's fees are straightforward once you separate the two products — spot and derivatives — and understand that a referral code and your fee rate are two different things.
